The Heart Chakra, also called Anahata is located in the center of the chest.

This chakra is all about love, compassion, selflessness, and trust. It is about loving oneself, all beings and non-beings. It is about being open to both give and receive the infinite love, which is like an endless ocean. The Heart Chakra thrives off of having loving-kindness towards all the cosmos, a love that eliminates all borders of “self” and extends to encompass all that is. This artwork illustrates this message by the figure extending love symbolized by a warm light. She extends this love to herself, the forest, the stars, and the Luna moth that rests in her hair, the Phyllomedusa Bicolor frog on her right arm, and the fireflies in the background.
