Sacral Chakra

This is the second artwork of the Chakra Series I am creating. The Sacral Chakra, also known as Svadhishthana, is the second lowest chakra, located a few inches below the navel. This chakra is all about passion, sensuality, pleasure, and creativity. I illustrated the energy of passion and sensuality by the body language she is expressing. I showed the aspect of creativity by making the background water have noticeable brush stroke textures. This chakra is associated with the color orange and the element water. Hence, the overall image has an orange glow and a sea background. The Sacral Chakra is correlated with our emotions, which are also represented in this image by the water. This is because emotions tend to be flowing and ever-changing, like the tied of the ocean. Furthermore, the woman in the artwork is adorned with crystal jewelry associated with the Sacral Chakra, such as Carnelian, Sunstone, and Orange Calcite.
